We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data Science team which is composed by Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts. In this exciting role, you’ll combine your experience, passion, and enthusiasm with data engineering to help Azion… drive its decisions. You are a data driven problem solver with strong analytical thinking. You can think independently, are comfortable with coding, know how to extract data from Databases and APIs and build ETLs/ELTs.
What you will do
• Work with Azion’s data team to bring insights to drive business decisions
• Design, build and support scalable and reliable data solutions that can enable self-service reporting and advanced analytics
• Develop technical tools and programming that leverage big-data techniques to cleanse, organize and transform data and to maintain and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis
• Design application components and evolve architecture: data access, integration, application components, etc
• Analyze and support platform requirements for Data Science team
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
• Build tools to automate the monitoring or workload and take proactive measure to scale the platform or to fix the problem
• Integrate data from multiple sources in batches or real time
• Partner with our Data Analyst and Data Scientists to improve data collection and quality
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to gain a strong understanding of business and product data needs
Minimum qualifications:
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Knowledge of high-performance and highly-availability
• Experience with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Python
• Experience in SQL
• Experience with Git
• Experience working with Cloud Computing Services (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Experience with CI/CD
• Advance English and Portuguese
Differentials:
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields
• Experience with data modeling and data warehousing
• Experience implementing operational best practices such as monitoring, alerting and high availability
• Experience using big data technologies (e.g. Airflow, Kafka, Fivetran, Flink, Spark)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience working with GCP
• Familiarity with NoSQL database(e.g. Cassandra, ClickHouse)
• Experience with DBT
• Experience with Numpy and Pandas
• Experience with dashboarding tools (eg. Superset, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc)
• Data Analysis/Science/Engineering certifications
