What will you be doing?
Due to the continued growth of both the business and its range of data products, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our Global Data Team in Sao Paulo. You will work closely with internal clients of the Data team to develop and support the applications and processes which underpin Argus’ data-driven and machine learning products.
As Data Scientist, you will develop and support tools for price creation and report-building; build metadata that accurately reflects methodology whilst conforming to internal standards; coordinate with Editorial and regional Data team to plan changes to systems and products; offer data analysis capabilities to internal stakeholders; client support with queries relating to integration of Argus and metadata into client systems, data validation and provision of data.
You will also be expected to support wider initiatives and product development by the Data & Data Science function and create dashboards in R/Shiny.
What we’re looking for in you:
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or related fields with experience in visualization techniques;
• Experience of developing tools using R/Shiny; good knowledge and experience of SQL; numerically proficient.
• Excellent spoken and written English; ability to interact with non-technical people in plain language;
• Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously; self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines; innovative thinker with good problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent attention to detail; customer service focused.

Hours
8 hours per day (from Monday to Friday), with 1 hour for lunch
